I caught another excellent talk last night in the PAX 2012 Tabletop talk track, “D&D vs Story Games,” hosted by Ashley Cook and starring Wolfgang Baur, Chris Perkins, Ben Robbins, Jonathan Walton and Erik Mona. The talk was full of great moments, but I’ll never forget Erick Mona’s “moon gun” anecdote. Give it a listen here.

Thanks for posting the recording. The dialogue between the panelists had some interesting points. I’m not sure if they ever decided on a definition of story games, but the point I found interesting was setting aside narrative control for the sake of the story.
